The Practice of Deep Listening in Dialogue
How can I see the human in you, when I cannot see the human in your view?
Truly listening in a polarised world is increasingly difficult; especially as our online and offline environments are ever-geared towards the simplification of identities, beliefs, and experiences into binary opposites.
We believe that there is a need for better listeners who acknowledge that we are complex beings that often exist in the liminal and in the grey.
We are hosting a dedicated time on the 17th October from 2-4pm, where we will begin to acquire tools that encourage deep listening, and enter into conversation with one another to better understand how we can listen alongside our differences. This time will be facilitated, but with the intent to nurture genuine dialogue – so come open and prepared to share.
We have space for ten to join us for this guided two-hours, with plans for future sessions, and the offer of a series of conversations to participants.
We will meet in a Central London location, with the details confirmed after booking. To confirm your space in sharing this time with us, please comment on this post or send me an email. We ask that each participant pays £30, but that this not be prohibitive for you to join if you are unable to do so - please let us know if this is your situation.
I’ll be co-facilitating these two-hours with Liz Nottingham. Liz is a Human Mixologist, combining her extensive experience of business, people and creativity. Collaborating with individuals, teams and leaders to actively support them with change at this time of great shift and uncertainty. Who knows what may emerge in her next workshop!
Drawing from nature, extensive creative approaches, play and practical experience, Liz is pioneering in her approach to talent, shaping culture and engagement.
We hope to see you on the 17th - do drop me a line with booking requests, or any questions you may have.
